創業經過
據公司介紹，YTL集團起源於Tan Sri Dato' Sri (Dr) Yeoh Tiong Lay在瓜拉雪蘭莪創辦的一家小型建築公司（集團時間線標註為1955年）。集團在1980年代成立房地產發展部門，最初在政府“特別低價屋計劃”下興建低價屋（霹靂的Taman Pakatan Jaya、雪蘭莪的Taman Puncak Kinrara、柔佛的Taman Cahaya Masai），在政府規定的2萬5000令吉售價內提供740平方尺（約 69 平方米，21 坪）的雙層三房屋。現在的法律實體YTL Land & Development Berhad按註冊編號於1937年成立，前身為Taiping Consolidated Berhad，2001年成為YTL集團一員，並接手冼都（Sentul Raya）地段，於2002年4月公佈冼都總體規劃。
