創業經過
上市公司Eastern & Oriental Berhad於1927年註冊成立（註冊號192701000031）。集團的歷史資產——檳城喬治市的Eastern & Oriental Hotel（E&O酒店）由Sarkies兄弟於1885年創辦（2026年年報）。1994年，曾掌管Land & General產業部門的Tham Ka Hon接手擁有該酒店的Jack Chia Enterprise Berhad，公司後更名為Eastern & Oriental Berhad，並轉向吉隆坡（202 Desa Cahaya、Kampung Warisan、Sri Se-Ekar）及檳城的住宅發展（2015年及2021年年報）。
